NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE ASSOCIATION

NOTICE is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Association for the Prevention of Discrimination and Harassment in Higher Education (CAPDHHE) (the “Association”) is called for and will be held during the 2023 CAPDHHE National Conference, at the Cenovus Energy Great Hall, Rozsa Centre, 206 University Court NW, University of Calgary, Calgary AB T2N 1N4, on the 13th day of October, 2023, at 12:00 pm for the following purposes:

  1. To receive the financial statements and Annual Report of the Association for the financial year ended April 30, 2023.
  2. To elect Directors of the Association.
  3. To appoint the Auditor of the Association for the ensuing year.
  4. To transact such other business as may properly be brought before the meeting.

AVIS DE L’ASSEMBLÉE GÉNÉRALE ANNUELLE DE L’ASSOCIATION

AVIS est par la présente donné que l’Assemblée générale annuelle de l’Association canadienne pour la prévention de la discrimination et du harcèlement (ACPDHMES) (« l’Association ») est convoquée et se tiendra pendant le Colloque nationale ACPDHMES 2023, au Cenovus Energy Great Hall, Rozsa Centre, 206 University Court NW, Université de Calgary, Calgary AB T2N 1N4, le 13 octobre 20123, à 12 h aux fins suivantes :

  1. Recevoir les états financiers et le rapport annuel de l’Association pour la gestion financière terminé le 30 avril 2023.
  2. Élire les directeurs de l’Association.
  3. Nommer le vérificateur de l’Association pour l’année suivante.
  4. Traiter toute autre affaire qui pourrait être dûment soumise à l’assemblée.

Nominations for positions on the CAPDHHE Board of Directors

The Executive Nominating Committee invites CAPDHHE members to submit nominations for positions on the Board of Directors. Members in good standing may nominate individuals in writing prior the start of the Annual General Meeting at noon on October 13, 2023. Self-nominations are accepted and in-person nominations will also be accepted from the floor at the Annual General Meeting.

Key qualifications of CAPDHHE Board members include: a strong commitment to CAPDHHE’s Vision and Mandate; active membership and participation in the Association; and the time and talents to serve in a leadership role.

To nominate an individual for the CAPDHHE Board of Directors in advance, please send a written expression of interest BEFORE the Annual General Meeting (along with the nominee’s consent) to the CAPDHHE President, Evelyn Hamdon at evelyn.hamdon@ualberta.ca, with “TIME SENSITIVE CAPDHHE AGM” in the subject line.

Self-nominations are accepted and In-person nominations will also be accepted from the floor at the Annual General Meeting. Nominations to ensure a broad representation from across the country are encouraged.

To date, the Executive Nominating Committee has received written nominations and will present the following slate for the identified officer positions on the Board of Directors:

Candidatures aux postes au conseil d’administration de l’ACPDHMES

Le comité exécutif des candidatures invite les membres de l’ACDPHMES à soumettre des candidatures pour des postes au sein du conseil d’administration. Les membres en règle peuvent proposer des personnes par écrit avant le début de l’assemblée générale annuelle à midi le 13 octobre 2023. Les auto-nominations sont acceptées et les candidatures en personne seront également acceptées lors de l’assemblée générale annuelle.

Les principales qualifications des membres du conseil d’administration du CAPDHHE comprennent : un engagement ferme envers la vision et le mandat de l’ACPDHMES ; adhésion active et participation à l’Association ; et le temps et les talents nécessaires pour jouer un rôle de leadership.

Pour proposer à l’avance une personne au conseil d’administration de l’ACDPHMES, veuillez envoyer une expression d’intérêt écrite AVANT l’assemblée générale annuelle (accompagnée du consentement de la personne candidate) à la présidente de l’ACPDHMES, Evelyn Hamdon, à evelyn.hamdon@ualberta.ca, en inscrivant « TIME SENSITIVE CAPDHHE AGM » dans la ligne objet.

Les auto-nominations sont acceptées et les candidatures en personne seront également acceptées lors de l’assemblée générale annuelle. Les candidatures visant à garantir une large représentation de partout au pays sont encouragées.
